The Accidental Architect

Certified structural oversight for towers that should not exist. Every block is approved. Every approval means nothing.

What We Do

The Institute of Unplanned Urbanism exists to observe blocks as they are placed, one at a time, into towers of increasing height and decreasing sense, and to certify each placement using standards only the Institute recognizes.

Every certificate records its own Block Number, Composition, and Tilt Reading, filed permanently beside every previous, equally unstable placement.

Methodology

Each certificate measures Composition and Tilt Reading, regardless of the block's actual shape, its actual color, or whether the resulting structure could plausibly stand under any law of physics the Institute is aware of.

All readings fall within tolerances the Institute considers architecturally unimpeachable. There is no engineer. There is no Institute.

Structural Confidence

Every tower begins at full confidence. Every block does not raise it. This is not a measurement error. This is the entire measurement.

Confidence has never gone up during a single recorded session, and the Institute does not fund research into why the tower has also never fallen down.

Off-Camera Construction Policy

Towers exceeding the Institute's visual capacity continue to be built, and certified, entirely out of frame. The Institute assures the public that this construction proceeds with exactly the same rigor as the construction it can see, which is to say, none.

Legal

The Accidental Architect is provided for entertainment purposes only. No blueprint was consulted, no permit was filed, and no block has ever actually fallen, so far as the Institute is aware.
